Play Dough Recipe

For Christmas I made this for a few of the great kids in my life, but I made it gingerbread scented and gave gingerbread man cutters with it. I don't know how the kids felt about it, but I loved how they came out! This recipe is just for plain ol' unscented play dough.

In a pan, heat all of the ingredients on medium low, stirring constantly (about 5 minutes) until a dough forms. Remove pan from heat and flop the dough on to wax or parchment paper. I knead it folded in the paper until its cooled down just a bit. Once it's warm and not hot hot; I knead it with my hand. Store in a jar or sealable container.

1 1/2 Cups of Flour
3/4 Cups of Salt
1/2 Tablespoon of Cream of Tartar
1 1/2 Cups of Water
1 Tablespoon of Vegetable Oil
Food Coloring (I used gel)

For Gingerbread Play Dough add

1 Tablespoon of Cinnamon
2 Teaspoons of Ground Ginger
1 Teaspoon of Ground Nutmeg
1/2 Teaspoon of ground Cloves

...I attempted to post more photos but did not have much luck.
